K9 Max was formed to help rehabilitate and promote wellbeing in a dog’s life,
giving them a better and healthier lifestyle over all.
Using our services will give your dog the ‘max’-imum opportunity to enjoy their life to the full.
We specialise in Canine Myofunctional Therapy - Massage (CMT), Reiki and Enrichment Walks.
Coming soon will be our Hydrotherapy service.
We are K9 Max in memory of Max, our first family dog who taught us all the important relationship between dogs and people as he brought joy and love to everyone he met.

About Us

The business is owned and run by Georgia and Jacqui, who are passionate about dog welfare.
Georgia is qualified and certified as below and has spent two years working in a kennel environment broadening her knowledge.

Diploma in Canine Myofunctional Therapy (CMT)
Level 1 Reiki
Certificate in Dog Psychology and Training
Level 3 certificate Hydrotherapy for small animals
Pet first Aid

Jacqui has had a variety of dogs her whole life with a good knowledge of different breeds, behaviours, temperaments and exercise needs.

Myofunctional Therapy is professional dog massage and movement which is designed to improve the health and well-being of the dog by working with their muscles using different techniques that are specifically designed to the canine anatomy. Massage works with the muscles of the dogs’ body to release pressure, relax and improve range of motion. Massage is beneficial for any dog, not just for specific issues, but for general well-being. It can help many dogs with different needs. Myofunctional Therapy also includes stretches of the whole body, and different exercises.

Enriching group dog walks, an hours walk around nature, stimulating their senses. We provide training along the way to ensure your dog is safe on their walk and can have optimal fun.
At K9 Max we believe one of the most beneficial activities for dogs is to go for a walk in natural surroundings, whether it’s the beach or forest. For a dog to be free to smell and socialise with other dogs is so enriching for them. Pick-up and drop-off from your home is provided. Our van is specially equipped for canine travel and has washdown facilities. Currently servicing Beachlands & Maraetai.
